Two tragic incidents involving Indian-origin women have been reported from Sharjah, UAE.
1. Woman Dies in Fire During Ritual in Sharjah
A 46-year-old Indian woman died in a fire that broke out in her apartment in the Al Majaz area on Thursday night. According to reports, she was performing a special ritual at home when the fire started.

The fire began in an apartment on the 8th floor of an 11-storey building. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire. The woman’s body has been sent for an autopsy.
2. Kerala Woman and Toddler Found Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide
In a separate incident, a 33-year-old woman from Kerala and her 2-year-old daughter were found dead in their apartment in the Al Nahda area on July 8.
The woman, originally from Kollam in Kerala, had moved to the UAE two years ago with her husband. However, she had been living separately due to family problems.
Reports say the child may have died from suffocation, possibly by a pillow. The mother was found hanging, and authorities have confirmed it as a suicide.
A handwritten note found at the scene, written in Malayalam, mentioned emotional stress and abuse. A social worker said the note appeared to be written by the woman.
The case is currently being investigated by the Al Buhairah Police Station.
These heartbreaking incidents have raised concerns about mental health and domestic issues among expatriate communities in the UAE.
