India prides itself on ‘Atithi Devo Bhava,’ but one Canadian traveler says Pakistan’s hospitality won him over. Why?
India is often called the land of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guest is God), but one Canadian traveler had a different experience. When asked to pick between India and Pakistan for better hospitality, Nolan Saumure didn’t hesitate—he chose Pakistan. His candid response has gone viral, sparking discussions across borders.
In a short interview with Instagrammer @officialnamour, Saumure explained his choice. He said Indians often treat foreigners like “walking ATMs,” focusing on money rather than genuine warmth.

“You go to India, and people see you as a customer. In Pakistan, they treat you like family—offering free food, inviting you to their homes,” he said.
