A Major Step Towards Green Energy
In a significant move for India’s renewable energy sector, Adani Energy Solutions has secured a $325 million transmission project in Gujarat. A key player in the Adani Group, the company will develop a robust power transmission system. This system will support a green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing unit in Mundra, Gujarat.
The Project Details
Announced on March 21, the project will be completed over the next three years. Adani Energy Solutions revealed that their total order book now stands at an impressive 575.61 billion rupees. This new project is a crucial part of India’s ambitious plan to produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030.

Why This Matters
India wants to reach at least 500 GW of non-fossil power capacity by 2030, up from the current 165 GW. However poor power transmission systems have caused delays and cancellations of renewable energy projects. Adani Energy Solutions’ new transmission project will help fix these issues, making it easier to send renewable energy efficiently and reliably.
The Bigger Picture
This project shows Adani Energy Solutions’ commitment to clean energy and supports India’s environmental goals. Better transmission systems will help India use more renewable energy, reduce its reliance on fossil fuels, and move closer to achieving its green hydrogen targets.
