In a big boost for India’s wind energy space, Inox Wind has bagged a 51 MW order from First Energy, a part of the Thermax Group. This order is for a new wind power project in Tamil Nadu, and it marks the first time First Energy has joined hands with Inox Wind.
This project will use 3 MW wind turbine generators, each with a hub height of 140 metres and a rotor diameter of 145 metres. These powerful machines will be installed at a site in Tamil Nadu, under a special company called First Energy 10 Private Limited set up for this project.

But this deal is not just about turbines. Inox Wind will also handle limited EPC services — which means they’ll look after key setup tasks, including site supervision. Once the turbines are up and running, Inox Wind’s subsidiaries will take care of the long-term operations and maintenance (O&M).
This deal shows how Inox Wind offers full support from start to finish — making it a strong player in India’s growing renewable energy market.
“We’re proud to support First Energy on this project,” said Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind.
“We provide end-to-end wind energy solutions and are helping India move to cleaner power.”
Inox Wind stock holds steady
Despite the good news, Inox Wind’s share price stayed flat on Wednesday. It traded close to Rs 165.94 at the end of the day. Trading was still active, with over 19 lakh shares changing hands, worth about Rs 31.7 crore in total.
Over the past month, the stock has moved up 0.85%, though it dipped a little (0.5%) this past week. Market reaction seemed cautious but steady.
What this means for the sector
This order is a sign that big players like First Energy are now placing trust in Inox Wind’s full-service model — from turbine supply to maintenance. It also reflects rising investment in Tamil Nadu’s renewable sector, which is key for India’s clean energy goals.
With this win, Inox Wind continues to build its portfolio across India. More such deals could follow as energy players look for reliable partners for long-term projects.
