Apple has launched the new iOS 18.4 update for iPhones, which brings several exciting new features, especially for iPhone 15 Pro users. The update introduces Apple’s “Visual Intelligence” and expands its AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools to more regions, including India. Now, iPhone users in India can use these advanced AI features without having to change the language settings to English (US).
New Features in iOS 18.4:
- Visual Intelligence for iPhone 15 Pro: This feature, which was first introduced with the iPhone 16 models, helps you instantly learn more about objects, places, and texts by simply pointing your camera at them. It can also translate text, detect phone numbers or emails, and even help you find more information online or solve math problems using a web search.
- AI Support in More Languages: With iOS 18.4, Apple’s AI tools now support more languages, including Chinese (Simplified), English (India and Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish. This means users in India can use these features without changing their device’s language.
- Apple Vision Pro App: The update introduces a new app for the Apple Vision Pro, Apple’s mixed-reality headset. This app allows users to browse and download apps and games, discover films and shows, and get tips about the headset.
- Review Summaries: When you look at app or game reviews on the App Store, iOS 18.4 will show a summary of the reviews to help you quickly understand what people think about the app without reading each review.
- New Toggles: There are new controls in the iPhone’s settings, including one to talk to Siri and one for Visual Intelligence. There’s also a new “Ambient mode” toggle that lets you play relaxing soundscapes in the background.
- Apple News+ New Feature: The Apple News+ app now shows recipes from global recipe publishers. You can browse through a catalog to find the perfect dish.
- Image Playground App Update: The Image Playground app now offers a new “Sketch” style option, alongside its existing animation and illustration styles.
