Is Asim Munir Hiding a Devious Agenda Behind Yet Another Anti-India Speech?

Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir is back with his old playbook — blaming India, praising “restraint,” and talking about Kashmir. But this time, the story behind the speech is much bigger.

Speaking at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi, Munir claimed that Pakistan gave a “resolute response” to India after a short military conflict last month. He said Pakistan showed “restraint” and pushed for “regional peace.”

But according to CNN-News18, that’s not the full story.

What Triggered This Speech?

Sources revealed that Asim Munir’s frustration is actually linked to India’s aborted strike on Karachi during May’s four-day conflict. This operation — known as Operation Sindoor — was part of India’s naval strategy to dominate the Arabian Sea.

India had positioned its Navy just 260 miles from Karachi, Pakistan’s main port city, exposing serious weaknesses in Pakistan’s defense. The Indian side targeted key military and port assets, showing clear control of the waters.

Why Pakistan Backed Down

Despite its bold words, Pakistan quickly reached out for a ceasefire on May 10. Their Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) contacted India to stop further escalation.

This showed how vulnerable Pakistan’s navy really is. Over 60% of Pakistan’s trade passes through Karachi. India’s surveillance made that trade route highly exposed.

Munir’s speech seems like an attempt to distract the public from this humiliation.

The Real Agenda Behind Asim Munir’s Words

According to reports, Asim Munir is not just talking about India — he’s using anti-India speeches to gain more power within Pakistan.

Analysts believe he’s trying to strengthen his hold over the army and the political system. By hyping the Kashmir issue and showing fake strength, he’s trying to look like a hero to his own people.

But behind the curtain, India’s show of force forced Pakistan to retreat.

A Desperate Distraction?

Just before the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, Munir had once again called Kashmir Pakistan’s “jugular vein.”

Many now say this speech may have stirred tensions, making matters worse in the region.

His repeated claims about supporting “freedom struggles” in Kashmir are just another way to justify terror in the name of politics.

India’s Strength, Pakistan’s Excuses

While Asim Munir tries to look like a bold leader, the truth is India’s strategy — especially at sea — is what really changed the game.

The aborted Karachi strike and India’s military power have shown that Pakistan is no longer in control of the narrative.

And speeches like Munir’s? They’re just loud distractions hiding quiet failures.
