Veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra, now 83, has found great success in the real estate business after spending 50 years in the film industry. In a recent interview with Visionary Studioz on YouTube, he opened up about his journey as a builder and how it’s very different from the movie world.
Jeetendra recently made headlines after selling a piece of land in Mumbai’s Andheri area for a massive ₹855 crore. The land included two connected plots, covering around 2.39 acres, with three buildings and nearly 4.9 lakh square feet of built-up space.

Talking about his approach, Jeetendra said, “I’m not like a typical builder.” He explained that most builders sell their properties even before they are built, but he prefers to complete the construction first and then sell. “It may seem foolish from a business point of view, but that’s how I like to work,” he added.
Jeetendra also compared the film and real estate industries. He said that people in the film world are emotional and kind, while in real estate, people tend to be sharp and clever. “Log chalaak hai, sayane hai (People here are smart and clever),” he noted, adding that maybe he isn’t as sharp in the business world.
He also spoke about the importance of honesty and quality in real estate. “In films, people work with emotions, but that doesn’t work in this business. Builders who do good work are appreciated, while those who make false promises often end up behind bars,” he said.
Jeetendra, known for films like Parichay, Caravan, and Khudgarz, is now building a new name for himself in the world of real estate—by sticking to quality work and honesty.
