Jindal Steel has hit a major milestone by starting its first Continuous Galvanising Line (CGL 1) at the Angul Integrated Steel Complex in Odisha. This is a big step in the company’s journey to offer more high-quality coated steel products in India.
This new galvanising line will boost production of Panther Galvanised and ZINKALUME products. These are used across key industries like appliances, automobiles, infrastructure, and construction.

What Makes CGL 1 Special?
The new line can handle steel thickness from 0.15 mm to 1.50 mm and widths from 700 mm to 1400 mm. This means it can produce a wide variety of steel products. With advanced technology, it ensures top-notch quality and precision every time.

- Solar structures
- Refrigerator backs
- Fuel tanks
- PPGL (pre-painted galvalume) sheets
They’re ideal where strength and weather resistance matter most.
Serving More Industries, Better
CGL 1 will also produce thinner HR galvanised coils used in:
- Tube industries
