Rahul’s Emotional Words
KL Rahul, in a video shared by BCCI, praised Karun’s hard work and determination.
“I’ve known him for a long time. It was tough and lonely for him while playing in the UK. But he worked hard and earned his place back in the team. It’s a proud moment for him, his family, and friends like us. Very inspiring,” said Rahul.
He added, “His experience from county cricket will help him in the upcoming series.”
Karun’s Reaction
Speaking about his return, Karun Nair said:
“It feels really special. I’m very thankful and excited to grab this opportunity with both hands.”
When asked about how he feels, Nair replied, “It’s hard to describe. I’ll have to feel it myself once I step onto the field.”
Shared Journey
Karun and Rahul have played together since their early days in cricket and recently represented Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. Karun’s selection for the five-match Test series against England is backed by his recent experience in English playing conditions.
