Indian cricketer KL Rahul is very close to joining a legendary group of Indian batters. He needs just 11 more runs to complete 1,000 Test runs in England. The fourth Test match between India and England will start on July 23 in Manchester, and this could be Rahul’s big moment.

So far, Rahul has scored 989 runs in 12 Test matches (24 innings) in England, with an average of 41.20. He has already hit four centuries and two fifties, with his highest score being 149 runs.
If he crosses the 1,000-run mark, he will become only the fourth Indian to do so in England. The other three legends who have achieved this are:
- Sachin Tendulkar – 1,575 runs in 17 Tests (average 54.31)
- Rahul Dravid – 1,376 runs in 13 Tests (average 68.80)
- Sunil Gavaskar – 1,152 runs in 16 Tests (average 41.14)
In the current Test series, Rahul has been in great form. He has scored 375 runs in three matches at an average of 62.50, including two centuries and a fifty. He is currently the fourth-highest run-scorer in the series.
Team Details:
India is being led by Shubman Gill (Captain), with Rishabh Pant (Vice-Captain). The Indian squad also includes players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sai Sudharsan, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and others.
England’s team is led by Ben Stokes, with key players like Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, and Chris Woakes.
In the third Test, Rahul scored a brilliant century at Lord’s, but unfortunately, India lost the match. Now, he will be aiming to keep up his good form and help India win the fourth Test to level the series, which England currently leads 2-1.
