It’s now official—Kriti Sanon has joined the cast of ‘Don 3’ as the female lead, opposite Ranveer Singh. This comes after Kiara Advani, who was earlier announced for the role, had to leave the project.
Kiara recently gave birth to a baby girl with her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, on July 15 at Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. The couple shared the happy news on their social media accounts. Due to her pregnancy, Kiara decided to step away from the film.
There were many rumors about who would replace Kiara, and now it’s confirmed that Kriti Sanon will take over the role. The announcement was made by Farhan Akhtar’s production house, which also mentioned that ‘Don 3’ will start filming in January 2026.

While Kriti and Ranveer are locked in as leads, the search for the villain is still ongoing. The team is in talks with top actors to play the negative role, but nothing has been finalized yet.
According to reports, actors Vikrant Massey and Vijay Deverakonda were approached but turned down the role due to concerns about the villain’s character not being strong or deep enough.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently working on another movie called ‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar. The first look of the film was released on Ranveer’s birthday, July 6, and it is scheduled to release on December 5.
