KTM has launched the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X in India. The new model is priced at Rs 3.03 lakh (Ex-showroom), which is Rs 12,000 more than the previous version. Despite the small price increase, KTM has packed the bike with important upgrades.

What’s New in the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X?

Better electronic rider aids than before

Earlier model had only off-road mode and off-road ABS

Now offers:

  • Cruise control
  • Cornering ABS
  • Traction control
  • Three ride modes: Street, Rain, and Offroad

Rider aids now almost the same as on the standard 390 Adventure

Makes the bike easier and safer on all terrains

Cruise Control System

  • Simple to operate with a single button to switch on/off
  • Toggle switch to increase or decrease speed while riding
  • Automatically disengages when brakes are applied
  • Re-engages when the throttle is twisted again
  • Helps riders focus more on the road than controlling speed

Engine and Performance

Same 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as before

Power output: 45 horsepower and 39 Nm torque

6-speed transmission remains unchanged

Suspension setup:

  • 43mm WP Apex USD forks in front
  • Monoshock suspension at the rear

Suspension adjustability:

  • Only preload adjustment on rear shock (less than standard model)

Wheels and Brakes

Wheel sizes: 19-inch front, 17-inch rear alloy wheels

Braking setup:

  • 320 mm disc brake at front
  • 240 mm disc brake at rear

Suitable for both off-road and city riding

Pricing and Competitors

  • New price: Rs 3.03 lakh (Ex-sh) — Rs 12,000 hike from previous model
  • Still Rs 65,000 cheaper than the standard 390 Adventure (Rs 3.68 lakh)
  • Competes mainly with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
  • Himalayan 450 price: Rs 2.85 lakh (Ex-sh)
  • Himalayan 450 features: Switchable ABS, ride modes, slip-assist clutch
  • KTM leads in tech and power for modern adventure riders

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X is a smart and practical upgrade tailored for Indian riders. It adds modern electronic features like cruise control, cornering ABS, and multiple ride modes, enhancing safety and convenience without compromising on performance.

Though there is a slight price increase of Rs 12,000, this is well justified by the premium rider aids and improved technology. Overall, the bike offers great value for adventure lovers who want advanced features and strong power, all at an affordable price.
