
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), along with Spanish company Lantania, has signed a deal with ACWA Power, a major infrastructure company in the Middle East, to build a large desalination plant in Saudi Arabia. This project, called the Ras Mohaisen Desalination Plant, is worth between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.

Project Details: A Big Step for Water Security
The plant will produce 300,000 cubic meters of clean water daily, providing drinking water to nearly one million people in the Makkah and Al-Baha regions. This will help Saudi Arabia tackle water shortages with sustainable solutions.

- Designing, building, and testing a seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis technology
- Constructing intake and outfall facilities for water flow
