The MG Windsor EV is about to get an upgrade with a larger 50.6kWh battery. This change comes after the success of the current 38kWh version. The upgraded model is expected to hit showrooms in August. Here’s what we know so far:
The new MG Windsor EV will come with a 50.6kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 460 kilometers, which is the same as the MG ZS EV. It’s still unclear whether it will use the same motor as the ZS EV. The motor will continue to produce 131.3 horsepower and 200Nm of torque, with a top speed of 175 km/h. Charging times will stay the same, with 7 hours for a full charge using AC (20-100%) and 30 minutes for a quick charge (DC, 30-80%).

The exterior dimensions of the updated Windsor EV will not change, but we can expect new alloy wheel designs. Inside, the updated model will likely include an ADAS suite (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which the current version does not have. Other interior features may stay the same.

Price Estimate
The new MG Windsor EV is expected to cost around Rs. 4 lakh more than the current top variants. This would put it in competition with the Tata Curvv.ev (55kWh) and the Mahindra BE6.
