The family of a YouTuber from Puri said, “Nation comes first,” after she got involved in a controversy. She is suspected to have a connection with Jyoti Malhotra, a vlogger who was arrested in Haryana for allegedly sharing secret information with people in Pakistan.
With tensions between India and Pakistan high, the family supports strict action if the police find any proof against her. The YouTuber’s grandfather said, “We believe our daughter is not involved in anything against the country. For us, India is more important than anything else. If the police find evidence, they can take strict action.”

The 21-year-old YouTuber, who finished college, said Malhotra was just a friend. She said, “I met her through YouTube. I did not know about the things she is accused of. If I had known she was spying, I would have stopped talking to her.” She has 14,500 followers and makes travel videos.
She also said that her relationship with Malhotra was only for making videos together. On social media, she wrote, “I am shocked by the news about her. If the police want to ask me questions, I will help fully. The nation is above everything. Jai Hind.”
Her family said she loves to travel and started her travel blog in July 2020. The police have taken her phone and laptop for checking. They told her not to leave Puri while they investigate.
Police visited her home to question her and her family. A police officer said, “We took her phone and laptop to check. We are looking at photos of her with Malhotra in different places like Pahalgam.”
The family said they are helping the police and asked not to be treated unfairly. Her father said, “My daughter is innocent. We are all cooperating with the police.”
