A Lifeline for Vulnerable Groups
Though the pandemic feels like a distant memory, Covid-19 hasn’t disappeared. For millions in the UK, the virus remains a serious threat, especially for older adults and those with weakened immune systems. That’s why the NHS has rolled out its Spring Covid Booster 2025, offering free jabs to 7.5 million eligible people.

Who Can Get the Booster?
The NHS is prioritizing those at highest risk:
- Adults aged 75+
- Care home residents
- Immunocompromised individuals (including children as young as six months)
- People turning 75 between April 1 and June 17, 2025
Immunity fades over time, and COVID still lands over 1,000 people in hospitals daily. The booster cuts hospitalization risk by 40% in the two months after vaccination.
How & When to Get It
- Bookings open now (no need to wait for an invite).
- Appointments run from April 1 to mid-June (dates vary slightly across the UK).
- Ways to book: NHS website, NHS App, or call 119.
If you or a loved one is eligible, act fast. This booster could be the difference between a mild illness and a hospital stay.
