Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has revealed that he personally reviews the salaries of all 42,000 employees at the company — every single year. This comes as a recent survey found that around 78% of Nvidia employees are millionaires, and half of them have a net worth above $25 million.

Speaking on the All-In podcast, Huang explained that he looks at each employee’s compensation at the end of every pay cycle. “I review everybody’s pay. They send me the recommended salaries for everyone, and I go through the whole list. Every time, I end up increasing how much the company spends on salaries,” he said.
Huang believes that taking care of employees is the key to success. “If you take care of people, everything else takes care of itself,” he added. He also mentioned that his approach has helped even the top executives at Nvidia, joking that he has created more billionaires in his management team than any other CEO.

The huge wealth of Nvidia’s employees comes mostly from the company’s employee stock purchase programme, which lets them buy Nvidia shares at a 15% discount. Since 2019, Nvidia’s share price has surged by about 3,800%, massively increasing the value of these stocks.
Financial analyst Jesse Cohen shared the survey results on X, calling them a “wild stat.” The survey, conducted among 3,000 Nvidia employees, confirmed that the majority have become millionaires thanks to the company’s stock boom.

Meanwhile, Huang himself has also benefited from the stock surge — he is now among the top 10 richest people in the world.
