
OnePlus is getting ready to launch two new smartphones in its Ace 5 series. These are called the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra. The Ace 5 series was first introduced in China in December 2024 with the regular OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. Now, the new models are officially confirmed and will be launched next week.

 Launch Timeline
OnePlus has shared on Weibo (a Chinese social media platform) that the Racing Edition and the Extreme Edition (which will likely be called Ultra globally) will launch in China between May 19 and May 25. The exact date is yet to be announced.

Chipset Details
- OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will come with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset. This is a powerful, efficient chip built on a 4nm process. It will be one of the first phones to feature this chip, alongside the Realme GT 7 (India launch on May 27).
- OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra (Extreme Edition) will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. This model is said to offer a top-tier gaming experience.
Price and Availability
- The Racing Edition is expected to be priced under CNY 2,500 (around Rs. 29,700 in India).
- Pre-bookings for both models are now open in China through the Oppo China e-store and other online platforms.
 Software and Current Lineup
- Both new phones will run on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 out-of-the-box.
- The already available OnePlus Ace 5 comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the Ace 5 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite Edition.
In short, OnePlus is expanding its Ace 5 series with two powerful phones focused on performance and gaming, and they’re coming very soon.
