
OpenAI is getting ready to launch its new and improved AI model called GPT-5. According to The Verge, the launch might happen in mid-August.
Right now, GPT-5 is going through final safety training and internal testing. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also confirmed on social media and in a recent podcast that GPT-5 is coming soon and shared some exciting details about it.

What’s New in GPT-5?
While full technical details haven’t been shared yet, experts say GPT-5 will likely include:
- Better accuracy with fewer mistakes or “hallucinations”
- Smarter understanding of images and audio (multimodal capabilities)
- Improved reasoning and deeper understanding of complex topics
- More options for customisation, especially for businesses and developers
GPT-5 has been in training since late 2023 and is now being carefully tested for safety. OpenAI wants to make sure it handles issues like misinformation, bias, and misuse before releasing it to the public.
