A heartbreaking incident took place in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, where five children lost their lives and 12 others were injured after a mortar shell exploded.
According to the police, a group of children found an unexploded mortar shell in the nearby hills. They brought it back to their village, not knowing it was dangerous. While they were playing with it, the shell suddenly exploded.
Emergency teams quickly arrived and took the injured and the bodies of the deceased to the nearby City Hospital. Hospital officials said that most of the injured are also children, and some of them are in serious condition.

This tragic blast has caused fear and panic among the local villagers.
