Panchayat

Phulera fever is real. TVF’s ‘Panchayat’ Season 4 has taken over India’s screens like never before.

The hit rural comedy-drama Panchayat has done it again. Season 4, released on June 23, 2025, has now become Prime Video’s most-watched show in India in its opening week. With 8.8 million views in just seven days, the show has clearly struck a chord with fans across the country.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, this season continues the journey of Abhishek Tripathi, played by the talented Jitendra Kumar. The story follows his life in the village of Phulera, where he works at a panchayat office after failing to get a corporate job.

The series also stars Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Sunita Rajwar, and Ashok Pathak, all delivering powerful and emotional performances.

What Makes Panchayat So Popular?

Panchayat is not just another show. It’s simple, real, and deeply Indian. It connects with viewers from cities to villages. The relatable characters, the humour, and the real-life struggles are what make it special.

In Season 4, the focus shifts to the village pradhan election. Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) locks horns with Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar), and things get intense in Phulera. It’s drama with a Desi twist.

The show has always balanced comedy with strong storytelling. And this season is no different. From village politics to emotional moments, it keeps you hooked.

Fans Can’t Get Enough

On social media, fans are all praise. One fan posted, “Indeed, for all the good reasons.” Another said, “Waiting for the next season.” Clearly, the love for Panchayat is growing with each episode.

TVF, the creators, posted on X (formerly Twitter):

“Janta ne dikhaya pyaar, Panchayat bana sabse zyaada demanded superstar!”

And we agree. This isn’t just a show anymore. It’s a movement.

A Show That Keeps Winning

Since its first release in April 2020, Panchayat has only gone upwards. It even won the Best Web Series (OTT) award at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in 2024.

Season 4 is produced by Arunabh Kumar and co-written by Akshat Vijaywargiya, keeping the same charm and strength as earlier seasons.

With such a massive response, Season 5 might not be too far away. And fans are ready!
