Punjab Kings (PBKS) delivered a strong bowling performance to beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 5 wickets in a rain-shortened IPL match.
Due to rain, the match was reduced to 14 overs per side. RCB struggled and managed to score only 95 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Tim David was the top scorer for RCB with an unbeaten 50 off 26 balls, scoring more than half of the team’s total.
While chasing the target of 96 runs, PBKS faced some early trouble but reached the goal in just 12.1 overs, ending with 98 for 5. With this win, RCB’s losing streak at their home ground continues.
Openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh had a tough time with the bounce on the pitch. Arya was out after mistiming a shot, and Prabhsimran was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Captain Shreyas Iyer also got out early, edging a ball from Josh Hazlewood to the wicketkeeper.
Yuzvendra Chahal, playing at his old home ground, Chinnaswamy Stadium, took the wicket of Jitesh Sharma and also dismissed Rajat Patidar, who had scored 23 runs off 18 balls.

Marco Jansen bowled well for PBKS, taking 2 wickets and giving away just 10 runs. He got rid of Krunal Pandya and Manoj Bhandage using short-pitched balls.
Tim David hit some big shots, including three sixes in a row off Harpreet Brar, who still managed to take 2 wickets. But RCB’s score was not enough to stop the Kings.
