Phoebe’s ChatGPT Trick
In a podcast called The Burnouts, Phoebe and Sophia explained how they use ChatGPT to create popular online video content. Their method is simple:
- Study viral videos on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Make an Excel sheet noting key parts of these videos:
- The hook (how it starts),
- The middle (what keeps people watching),
- The ending (how it wraps up).
- Use ChatGPT to transcribe and analyze these videos to find out why they went viral.
- Then, they ask ChatGPT to write scripts for their own product (Phia) that follow the same successful pattern.
They call this method “reverse engineering,” which means learning from what’s already working online and copying the structure — not starting from scratch.
Phoebe said, “I use AI almost every single day. It really boosts what I can do.”
What is Phia?
Phia is a browser extension and app that compares clothing prices across 40,000 online stores, helping users find the best deals.
What Did Bill Gates Think?
When Phoebe told her dad, Bill Gates, about starting her own e-commerce business, he was surprised. He said, “Wow, a lot of people have tried this, and it’s a tough space with big players.”
He also joked that he was worried she might ask him for money. In an interview with The New York Times, he said, “I thought, ‘Oh boy, she’s going to come and ask.’” He admitted he would’ve struggled between being a supportive dad and a business reviewer.
