Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan on Saturday with school children and members of the spiritual group Brahma Kumaris at his residence.

In heartwarming pictures that went viral, children were seen tying rakhis on PM Modi’s wrist. The Prime Minister smiled and interacted warmly with them, making the celebration extra special.

PM Modi also shared a message on X (formerly Twitter), wishing everyone a happy Raksha Bandhan. He highlighted that the festival is a beautiful reminder of the strong bond between brothers and sisters.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also sent greetings on X, calling Raksha Bandhan a festival of love, trust, and protection between siblings. He prayed that it brings happiness and excitement to everyone’s lives.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended his wishes too. He said that Raksha Bandhan is not just about tying a rakhi but also about a promise to protect and care for sisters. He hoped the festival inspires everyone to honour and safeguard this special bond.
