PM Modi is once again at the top of the global democratic leader approval ratings. According to a fresh survey by US-based Morning Consult, Modi has the highest approval among democratic world leaders. His rating stands strong at 75 percent.

The survey, done between July 4 to 10, 2025, checks public opinion from many countries. It collects rolling seven-day averages to track what people feel about their leaders.

Modi’s numbers are clear. Out of every 4 Indians, 3 people have said they support him. Only 18 percent disapproved. Just 7 percent were unsure.

In second place is Lee Jae Myung, the newly elected President of South Korea. He has a 59 percent approval. Modi is far ahead.

Trump Slips to Eighth

While Modi shines, US President Donald Trump is in eighth place. His approval is only 44 percent. Some experts say his domestic and trade policies may have hurt his numbers.

India Celebrates Modi’s Popularity

Modi started his third term as Prime Minister in May 2024. He has stayed popular not just in India, but around the world. He often ranks high in Morning Consult’s monthly tracker.

The BJP and its leaders proudly celebrated the news.

Amit Malviya, head of BJP’s IT cell, said on X (formerly Twitter),

“Loved by over a billion Indians and respected by millions across the globe… Strong leadership. Global respect. Bharat is in safe hands.”

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also shared his praise.

“Backed by over a billion Indians. Admired across continents.”

What Makes Modi So Popular?

Modi’s leadership style, clear messaging, and strong decisions seem to work well with people. He talks in a way that connects with the common man. His global image is also seen as bold and confident.

Global democratic leader approval ratings show what people think about their leaders. And again, India’s Prime Minister is leading the world.

While world leaders struggle to stay in favour, Modi’s support remains rock solid. This shows not just his popularity in India, but also his growing respect worldwide.
