Rajasthan Royals (RR) has strongly denied accusations of match-fixing following claims made by Jaydeep Bihani, the head of the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) temporary committee. The allegations came after RR lost two close matches to Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, even though they were in good positions to win both games.
Despite the accusations, RR has firmly rejected the claims, and a recent report suggests that the real reason behind these allegations could be a ticket dispute. According to a report by The Times of India, the RCA has been given fewer tickets for IPL 2025 matches than they usually get, which may have led to the complaints.

Normally, Rajasthan Royals provides the RCA with about 1,800 tickets for each match, but this year, the number has been reduced to between 1,000 and 1,200 tickets. An insider from RR explained that the RCA’s dissatisfaction is due to these ticket reductions, adding that the RCA members were asking for even more tickets, which RR didn’t agree to.

A source close to RR explained, “The BCCI told us at the start of the season that we would now work with the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) for all arrangements because the RCA is dissolved. Some members of the RCA committee, unhappy with the fewer tickets, are making these false allegations to get attention.”
Additionally, a BCCI official has spoken out against the RCA’s claims, stating, “The RCA is dissolved, and an ad-hoc committee is now in place. With elections approaching, there’s a lot of drama, and everyone wants attention. The BCCI’s anti-corruption unit is always monitoring the game, and there’s no truth to these allegations.”

RR has strongly condemned these allegations, stating, “These claims are completely false and have harmed the reputation of Rajasthan Royals, the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI. They also damage the integrity of cricket.”
Rajasthan Royals has had a tough season so far, winning only two out of their first eight matches. They lost their last two games in dramatic fashion, failing to chase down small targets in the final overs.
