About the Film
Peddi, also known as RC 16 (Ram Charan’s 16th film), is set in a rural backdrop. On his 40th birthday, the team revealed two posters: one showing Ram Charan with a serious look and a beedi, and another with him holding a cricket bat. His rugged look—with a beard, scars, and messy hair—has drawn comparisons to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, but fans reminded others that Ram Charan had already played a similar rustic role in Rangasthalam (2018).
Star Cast and Crew
Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
The movie is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and will be presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
AR Rahman is composing the music, and R Rathnavelu is handling the cinematography.
Shooting began last year in Hyderabad and is currently ongoing.
This is Janhvi Kapoor’s second Telugu film after Devara: Part 1, and it marks Bollywood actor Divyendu Sharma’s debut in Tollywood.

Ram Charan’s Career So Far
Ram Charan had a major hit with RRR in 2022. However, his other films Acharya and Game Changer didn’t do well. Game Changer, directed by Shankar, was especially disappointing for fans who had high hopes.
Ram has also agreed to work on another project with director Sukumar, who previously directed Rangasthalam—a fan-favorite film in Ram’s career. Naturally, fans are now very excited about what’s coming next.
