What Happened to Rishabh Pant?
Pant hurt his left index finger while trying to stop a wide delivery from Jasprit Bumrah on the first day of the third Test at Lord’s. After 35 overs of England’s innings, he left the field, and Dhruv Jurel took over wicketkeeping. Although Pant didn’t keep wickets again in the match, he did come out to bat in both innings, despite being hit on the same hand twice by Ben Stokes.
Pant has been in great form in the series. He scored two centuries in the first Test (134 and 118 runs) and followed it with half-centuries in the next two matches. His presence in the playing XI is a big plus for Team India.
