The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a tough match at home, losing to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 50 runs. This win was special for RCB as they had last won at CSK’s home ground, MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk), back in 2008 during the first-ever IPL season.
RCB Sets a Big Target
RCB batted first and scored a strong total of 196 runs in 20 overs, losing seven wickets. When CSK came in to chase the target of 197 runs, they struggled with early wickets and couldn’t recover.

Sam Curran’s Poor Performance
CSK’s all-rounder, Sam Curran, had a disappointing game. He was dismissed after scoring only 8 runs off 13 balls. He tried to hit a big shot off Liam Livingstone’s delivery but ended up getting caught by Krunal Pandya at long-on. His wicket fell in the 9th over.
