Samsung has announced that it will restart the much-awaited One UI 7 update after fixing a major bug. Just a few days after the update was first released, the company had to stop it due to serious issues reported by users.
The One UI 7 update rollout was paused on April 14 for several Samsung phones, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
According to media reports, a bug in the update caused big problems. Some users couldn’t unlock their phones normally, and others experienced fast battery drain. The issue was first shared by a well-known leaker named Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter). After more users reported the same problem, Samsung decided to delay the global release.

The One UI 7 update was officially launched on April 7, 2025. But just a week later, it had to be pulled back due to these problems.
Now, the good news is that Samsung has fixed the issue. As per recent updates, the company resumed the One UI 7 rollout yesterday, April 15.
The new One UI 7 update brings several exciting features, including:
- Smoother animations
- Faster app loading times
- “Now Bar” for better control over notifications, music, and alerts right from the lock screen
- New AI-powered tools like AI Select, Writing Assist, and Audio Eraser
