Sandisk has introduced a new solid-state drive (SSD) called the WD BLACK SN7100 NVMe in India, specially made for gamers who want faster and more powerful storage. It’s now available on popular e-commerce websites and through IT retailers across the country.
The SN7100 SSD offers very fast performance, with read speeds up to 7,250MB/s and write speeds up to 6,900MB/s on the 1TB and 2TB versions. It uses the latest TLC 3D NAND technology and PCIe Gen 4 interface, making it 35% faster than the previous SN770 model.
It is designed for laptops and handheld gaming devices, offering not only speed but also better power efficiency—up to 100% more efficient at top speeds than older models. The 4TB version has an endurance rating of 1,200TBW, making it great for game streaming, content creation, and regular file use.

“As games are getting larger and more demanding, gamers need faster and more reliable SSDs. The SN7100 provides great performance, high storage capacity, and quicker load times,” said Khalid Wani, Senior Director of Sales – India at Sandisk.
The SSD comes in four storage options:
- 500GB (₹4,899)
- 1TB
- 2TB
- 4TB
The 1TB and 2TB models offer the highest speeds. It features a DRAM-less design and includes a 5-year limited warranty. Users with Windows can also use the WD_BLACK Dashboard, a software tool that offers Game Mode, health checks, and firmware updates.
