Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is already winning hearts—two weeks before release.
The actor held a special screening of Sitaare Zameen Par, and the first reviews are in: emotional, impactful, and deeply moving. The sports drama officially hits theatres on June 20, 2025, but early feedback is already shaping the buzz.
The Film That Brought a Room Full of Adults to Tears
The private screening saw Aamir himself talking to viewers post-show. One audience member said, “You looked after many aspects of sensitivity.” Another added, “This is the best film since Taare Zameen Par.”

Aamir replied with calm honesty: “It’s an important issue for all of us.”
One professional from Muskan Foundation—a group working with children with special needs—called the film “very well captured and impactful.” The last twist of the film, they said, hit hard. And yes, it made people cry. In a good way.
One foolish coach’s life is about to turn upside down, because the Sitaare are in town! 😎

What’s Sitaare Zameen Par About?
Directed by RS Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan), this is not a direct sequel but a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par. The film is based on the Spanish movie Campeones.
The plot follows a disgraced basketball coach who finds purpose again by coaching a team of players with special needs. The result? Laughter, tears, and something real.
Alongside Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza, the cast includes ten newcomers like Aroush Datta, Vedant Sharma, and Simran Mangeshkar. The team dynamic, by early accounts, is heartwarming and authentic.

Aamir on Working with Special Needs Actors
During the screening Q&A, Aamir opened up about the filming process. He said there were no creative blocks during the shoot. The vibe was pure joy.
He shared that working with children who have special needs wasn’t any different—and that’s exactly the kind of quiet inclusivity that makes this project stand out.
A Bollywood Film That Might Actually Matter
We often joke that Bollywood’s more about drama than depth. But every once in a while, a film like Sitaare Zameen Par comes along and reminds us why stories matter.
It doesn’t preach. It doesn’t beg for applause. It simply tells a human story—with humour, heart, and honesty. In a cinema full of noise, this one whispers. And people are listening.
