Tesla Under Fire: FBI Investigates Attacks as “Domestic Terrorism”
Recently, Tesla has become the target of a series of violent attacks, including vandalism at dealerships, damaged vehicles, and defaced charging stations. In some cases, swastikas were drawn on Cybertrucks, with vandals accusing CEO Elon Musk of being a Nazi. The FBI has received at least 48 reports this month alone and is actively investigating seven cases.
The FBI has labeled these incidents as “domestic terrorism” and formed a special task force to tackle the issue. FBI Director Kash Patel stated, “This is domestic terrorism. Those responsible will be pursued, caught, and brought to justice.” The bureau has already taken steps to curb the violence, coordinating with law enforcement nationwide.

The attacks seem connected to Musk’s work at the Department of Government Efficiency. There, he has overseen massive layoffs. This includes plans to slash 60,000 Defense Department jobs. Critics say this has sparked public outrage. That anger may be driving the vandalism.
Former President Donald Trump didn’t hold back. On Truth Social, he issued a stark warning. Perpetrators—and even those funding the attacks—could face up to 20 years in prison. “We are looking for you!” he declared. His message was clear: The administration won’t tolerate these acts.
Justice Department’s Response
Attorney General Pam Bondi labeled the attacks ‘nothing short of domestic terrorism‘ and confirmed that authorities have already charged multiple individuals. She promised more prosecutions, targeting both vandals and their financial backers.
