Tata Motors has partnered with Allied Motors to introduce its electric vehicles (EVs) in Mauritius. This marks Tata’s expansion beyond the SAARC region, with the last international launch being in Sri Lanka, where it offered both fuel-based and electric cars.
Tata EVs Introduced In Mauritius
Tata has launched three electric cars in Mauritius:

- Tiago EV
- Punch EV
- Nexon EV
These EVs come with the largest battery options available in their Indian versions. Here are their key specifications:
Model | Battery Pack | Power | Torque | Claimed Range |
---|---|---|---|---|
Tiago EV | 24 kWh | 75 PS | 114 Nm | 190-210 km |
Punch EV | 35 kWh | 122 PS | 190 Nm | 270-290 km |
Nexon EV | 45 kWh | 144 PS | 215 Nm | 350-375 km |
Differences From Indian Models
The Mauritius-spec Tiago EV has a slightly higher claimed range than its Indian version (about 5 km more). The Punch EV and Nexon EV have the same range as their Indian counterparts. Other than that, all three models have the same features and equipment as the ones available in India.
