The electric SUV race in India just got serious. Tata Motors has officially started production of its much-awaited Tata Harrier.EV. Built at the company’s Pune plant, this electric SUV is already making waves—over 10,000 people booked it on Day One.
Deliveries are expected to begin this month, in July 2025. So, if you booked early, you might be among the first to drive it home.

A Bold Step Into India’s EV Future
Let’s be honest—electric cars in India used to be small, boring, and kind of…meh. Not anymore. The Tata Harrier.EV is proof that India can build a smart, powerful, and bold electric SUV. And people are noticing.
Launched last month, it’s priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹28.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in two types: Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Quad Wheel Drive (QWD). The RWD offers four trims: Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+, and Empowered. The QWD is available only in the top Empowered trim.

Built to Impress: Looks + Power
The Harrier.EV comes in four stylish colours: Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, and Pure Grey. There’s also a special Stealth Edition with a full matte black finish and blacked-out interior.
The QWD variant packs a serious punch with 313 horsepower and 504 Nm torque. It hits 0–100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. That’s quicker than anything else in this segment.

There’s also a JBL 10-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, and even a 540-degree camera view that lets you see under the car.
Other tech features include:

Performance Meets Comfort
The SUV has six terrain modes for different road conditions. It also gets Ultra Glide Suspension for a smoother ride and better control. Whether you’re off-roading or just cruising, this EV is built for India.
Tata is not just launching a car. It’s challenging global players like BYD, MG, and Mahindra. With the Harrier.EV, Tata is showing the world what an Indian EV can do—and how fast it can get there.
In a country where EVs once felt like science fiction, Tata just made them feel like today. And clearly, India is ready.
