26-year-old Tauseef Badshah has been named as the main accused in the murder of gangster Chandan Mishra inside Patna’s Paras Hospital. On July 17, Tauseef and four others casually walked into the hospital, entered the ICU, and shot Chandan dead. CCTV footage of the murder has gone viral.
Social Media Star with a Dark Side
While the police were investigating, people on social media started recognizing Tauseef as an “influencer.” He had been posting videos on YouTube and Instagram for the past year, showing off a flashy and dramatic lifestyle.

Although his YouTube channel has only 247 subscribers, many of his short videos have thousands of views. These videos feature him walking, posing, driving, and sitting in cars — often with dramatic or emotional captions. One video even shows him driving with a baby in his lap.
In several clips, he includes bold gold text: “ TAUSEEF BADSHAH ” — giving off a sense of power and pride. His Instagram account is private, but reports that he also posted similar videos there, including one where he calls himself the “King of Patna.
His Facebook bio reads:
“In the jungle where you walk like a lion, I am the fearless hunter.”
Murder in Broad Daylight
The victim, Chandan Mishra, was a convicted gangster involved in over 24 criminal cases, including 12 murder cases. He was in Beur Jail but was allowed out on parole for medical treatment. While he was in the ICU, Tauseef and his gang entered the hospital and shot him.
In the CCTV footage, while other people ran away in panic, Tauseef walked away calmly. Another video outside the hospital shows the gang celebrating the murder on two bikes.
Police Action
Police have identified all five attackers. So far, six people have been arrested from Patna and Buxar districts. The police are also searching properties linked to the Sheru gang, a criminal group involved in the shooting.
According to police officer Diksha, Mishra was brought to the hospital for treatment and later died from his injuries in the ICU.
