The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the famous Tirupati temple, has suspended four employees for following a non-Hindu religion. This brings the total number of such suspensions to five.
The decision was made after TTD’s vigilance department reviewed a report that showed the employees had acted against the trust’s code of conduct. Officials said there was clear evidence that these employees were involved in religious practices not allowed under the temple’s rules.

The suspended employees are:
- B Elizar, Deputy Executive Engineer (Quality Control)
- S Rosi, Staff Nurse at BIRRD Hospital
- M Premavati, Pharmacist at BIRRD Hospital
- Dr G Asuntha, working at SV Ayurveda Pharmacy and previously the Principal of SPW Polytechnic College
According to official notices, they broke Rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, which sets basic rules for the behavior of government employees.
