Titan has made a bold move. Arun Narayan, the man behind the sharp rise of Tanishq in India, will become the CEO of its Jewellery Division starting January 1, 2026.
This is not just a job change. It’s a full-circle moment for a man who has lived and breathed the Titan brand for nearly three decades. Narayan currently leads the Tanishq India business. Since April 2020, he has been the backbone behind the brand’s strong growth in stores, marketing, and product planning.

Narayan is a Tata Administrative Services (TAS) officer and an IIM Calcutta graduate. His journey has taken him through key leadership roles in Titan. From managing the west region to heading Helios and leading Titan Watches retail—he has done it all.
This leadership shuffle is happening for a reason. Ajoy Chawla, the current CEO of the Jewellery Division, will take over as the managing director of Titan from January 2026. With Narayan stepping in, Titan’s jewellery story is set to get even stronger.
But that’s not the only change. Titan has also appointed Kuruvilla Markose as the new CEO of the Watches Division. He will take charge on August 13, 2025. Markose currently heads Titan’s international business. He first joined as Chief Digital Officer in 2015 and has helped Titan grow beyond India, especially in watches, jewellery, and eyewear.
Markose has also been with the TAS since 1995. He studied agriculture and later got an MBA from IIFT, New Delhi. His experience covers FMCG, telecom, BPO, digital, and retail. With him in charge, Titan’s watch segment is in good hands.
This reshuffle follows the resignation of Suparna Mitra, the current CEO of the Watches Division. She is set to step down on August 12, 2025.
Titan Company is one of India’s most trusted brands. It is a joint venture between the Tata Group and TIDCO. Starting with watches, Titan later moved into jewellery with Tanishq and then into eyewear with Titan Eye+.
With leaders like Arun Narayan and Kuruvilla Markose stepping up, Titan’s next chapter looks strong. The company seems ready to push harder, grow faster, and stay ahead in India’s lifestyle and fashion space.
