In a thrilling IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opening pair, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, delivered a spectacular performance. Known for their explosive batting last season, both players had struggled to find form this year until Sunday. But when they chased down an incredible total of 246, they turned the game around, thanks to a 171-run partnership between them in just 12.2 overs.
Abhishek Sharma played an amazing knock, scoring 141 runs off 55 balls, which included 14 fours and 10 sixes. Travis Head also contributed with 60 runs off 37 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes. Despite setting such a huge total, Punjab Kings had no answer to their dominance. Heinrich Klaasen (21) and Ishan Kishan (9) finished the match, leading SRH to a victory with nine balls to spare.

In an interesting twist, Abhishek Sharma was seen holding a note during the match, which read, “This one is for Orange Army.” When asked about the note after the game, Travis Head revealed a secret. He shared that Abhishek had kept the note in his pocket since the start of the season but only had the chance to bring it out in the sixth game.

“The note has been in Abhishek Sharma’s pocket for six games, and I’m glad it finally came out tonight,” said Travis Head.
This brilliant performance came after a tough period for Abhishek, who had struggled to find his rhythm. His 141-run knock helped SRH pull off the second-highest run chase in IPL history. The victory also marked a strong return to form for both Abhishek and the team, as they won the match by eight wickets.
Abhishek spoke about the emotional weight of the win: “This one is very special because I wanted to break that losing streak. Losing four games in a row was hard, but we never talked about it in the team. I’d also like to thank Yuvi paji (Yuvraj Singh) and Suryakumar Yadav, who have been in touch with me.”
