Indian students stranded in Iran are begging to come back home safely.
As Israeli strikes rain down across Iran, hundreds of young people from India find themselves stranded and unsure when or how they will be able to return.
The students are scared. They came here to pursue their education and become doctors. But now their nights are filled with explosions, panic, and uncertainty. The conflict has turned their future into a nightmare.

Fear Grips Indian Students in Iran
For Indian students, the situation is growing more dangerous by the day.
Explosions are close — sometimes just 5 km away from their hostel — and many say the blasts are so powerful that they tremble in their basement.
“I woke up at 2:30 am on Friday to huge blasts. We rushed into the basement immediately. We haven’t slept much in days. We’re scared for our lives here.”
This is what Imtisal Mohidin, a third-year MBBS student at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, told ANI.
“We Came Here to Become Doctors — Now We’re Just Trying to Stay Alive”
About 350 Indian students are stranded in Iran’s capital, with many more in Kerman and other cities.
Some say it feels more like a war zone than a place to study.
“We came here to become doctors. Now we’re just trying to stay alive. It’s not about exams or future anymore; it’s about making it back home safely.”
This was the painful confession of Faizan Nabi, a first-year student in Kerman.
Fear Spreads Among Families Back Home
The fear is not just for the students.
Their families back in Kashmir and all over India are worried sick.
“I get calls from home 10 times a day. My parents are scared. They say, please come back safely.”
The slow internet makes it hard to stay in touch, adding more stress to an already tough situation.
Appeal to Government for Evacuation
The Indian students are now asking their government for help.
They want an urgent evacuation mission to bring them back safely.
The Indian Embassy has opened a 24/7 helpline and a Telegram group to keep people informed. But for many students, this isn’t enough.
Most are stranded in their hostel basements, without proper food or rest.
They say, “We need to be back home. We need a way out. We need the government to act now.”
