Since its launch, TVF’s Panchayat has won the hearts of viewers across India. Known for its realistic portrayal of rural life and lovable characters, the show has gained huge popularity and praise. Over three successful seasons, Panchayat has not only received great love from fans but also earned many prestigious awards.
At the upcoming World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, Panchayat will be the main focus of a special session on grassroots storytelling. This event, happening in Mumbai from May 1–4, will feature key creators and cast members from the series. This honor highlights the show’s powerful cultural impact and its role in changing the way regional stories are told on digital platforms.

This recognition shows TVF’s ability to create stories that appeal to everyone while staying true to India’s social issues. Through Panchayat, they’ve captured the simple yet deep realities of rural life in a way that connects with people from all backgrounds.
The series has become a key part of India’s OTT (online streaming) world. One of its biggest achievements was when Season 2 won Best Web Series at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). This was a historic moment as it marked the first time a web series was officially recognized at the festival, filling a gap for digital storytelling in India.
To reach even more viewers, TVF has also translated Panchayat into Tamil (as Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam) and Telugu (as Sivarapalli), further growing its popularity and influence.
