In a major step towards blending ancient Indian wisdom with modern education, four well-known universities—Patanjali University, Raja Shankar Shah University in Chhindwara, Hemchand Yadav University in Durg, and Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya in Chitrakoot—have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to promote education, health, yoga, Ayurveda, and skill development.
The announcement was made by Acharya Balkrishna, Vice-Chancellor of Patanjali University, who shared the news on X (formerly Twitter). He described the initiative as a move towards national transformation through ancient and practical knowledge systems.

He further highlighted that the collaboration is not just academic but also aims to bring about a cultural and educational revival through ‘Rishi Kranti’ (sage-led wisdom), ‘Yoga Kranti’ (yogic practices), and ‘Shiksha Kranti’ (traditional education).
The purpose of this collaboration is to create a space where ancient Indian subjects like yoga science, Ayurveda, Sanskrit, natural medicine, and Vedic studies can be studied and researched in a way that is useful in today’s world. The agreement will allow the universities to work together on research projects, develop new courses, share teaching materials, and offer student exchange and training programs.
Students will benefit from access to shared libraries, digital tools, herbal gardens, and special labs. This partnership is seen as a positive step toward reviving traditional Indian practices and making them a meaningful part of mainstream education. By bringing together the expertise of these four universities, the initiative aims to create a strong foundation for education that is both modern and rooted in India’s rich cultural heritage.
