
The Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested two men for allegedly spying for Pakistan and sharing sensitive information.

Man from Varanasi Caught Sharing Secret Information
The first arrest was of a man named Tufail from Varanasi. According to the ATS, he was sending important and secret information about India’s security to people in Pakistan.
Tufail is accused of:
- Sharing videos of Maulana Shah Rizvi, the leader of a banned terrorist group in Pakistan.
- Posting messages in WhatsApp groups calling for ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ (a call for war against India), revenge for the Babri Masjid demolition, and demanding Sharia law in India.
- Sending photos of important and sensitive places like Rajghat, Namo Ghat, Gyanvapi, Varanasi Railway Station, and even the Red Fort to people in Pakistan.
- Distributing WhatsApp group links that helped people in Varanasi connect with Pakistani agents.
Another Arrest in Moradabad for Spying and Smuggling
In a separate case, the ATS arrested Shehzad, a man from the Tanda area in Rampur, who was caught in Moradabad. He is accused of:
- Spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency (ISI).
- Smuggling goods across the India-Pakistan border.
- Recruiting people from Rampur and other parts of Uttar Pradesh to work secretly for the ISI by lying to them that they were going for smuggling.
- Giving Indian SIM cards to these agents to help them spy in India.
- Arranging visas and travel documents with help from ISI so that these people could travel to Pakistan.
Serious Charges Filed
The ATS has registered cases against both men under strict laws for doing activities that harm the unity, safety, and integrity of India. Investigations are still going on to find out more details and other people involved.
