The situation is difficult because the area is cut off from both the north and south due to damaged roads and the collapse of a major bridge, making it hard for rescue teams to reach the location.
Over 225 Army personnel, including infantry and engineering teams, are working in tough conditions to carry out search and rescue operations. Seven special teams are using Reeco Radar near Tekla to locate the missing soldiers.
Rescue dogs have also been sent to help find those who are trapped or missing. More trained dogs from Veterinary Centres are on the way to assist with the operation.
The Army said that the bad weather and remote location are making rescue work very challenging, but they are doing everything possible to bring help and find the missing jawans.
So far, five people have died, 413 have been rescued, and around 100 people are still stranded. The cloudburst also caused landslides and heavy destruction in the Dharali and Sukhi Top areas of Uttarkashi, according to reports from reports
