The entire stadium gave him a loud standing ovation as he walked back to the pavilion. Vaibhav set the record at just 14 years and 32 days old.
A special moment came when Rajasthan Royals’ head coach Rahul Dravid, who was sitting in a wheelchair, stood up to clap for Vaibhav’s outstanding performance. Fans, teammates, and even officials joined in the celebration with cheers and applause.
While Vaibhav’s innings was historic, the record for the fastest century in IPL still belongs to Chris Gayle, who scored a hundred in just 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors in April 2013.
