14-year-old cricket star Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history on Wednesday by scoring the second-fastest half-century (50 runs) by an Indian in Under-19 ODI history. He reached his 50 in just 20 balls during India’s third match against England.
Vaibhav didn’t stop there—he went on to score an impressive 86 runs, which included 6 fours and 9 massive sixes, helping India chase a tough target of 269 runs in a 40-over match.

Only Rishabh Pant has scored a faster 50 in this format, reaching the mark in 18 balls against Nepal in 2016.
Vaibhav has been in excellent form throughout the series:
- In the first match, he scored 48 runs off 19 balls, helping India win easily.
- In the second match, he made 45 runs from 34 balls, though India lost by just one wicket.
- Now, with this explosive 86-run knock, he has helped India take the lead in the series.
Even under pressure, Vaibhav played confidently and powerfully, showing skills beyond his age. With consistent scores of 48, 45, and 86, he has become one of the top performers in the series—mixing power, confidence, and calmness every time he bats.
