Virat Kohli achieved another big milestone in his IPL career by scoring over 1,000 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). This happened during the opening match of IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens on Saturday.
Kohli played a brilliant knock, scoring 59 runs off 36 balls without getting out. His performance helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) chase down KKR’s target of 175, leading them to a seven-wicket victory. This match added to Kohli’s reputation as one of IPL’s most reliable and consistent batsmen.

KKR batted first and posted a total of 174/8. Ajinkya Rahane played an important role with 56 runs, while Sunil Narine contributed with a quick 44 off 26 balls.
