Former India cricket captain Virat Kohli has started training in London to prepare for his return to one-day international (ODI) cricket. On Friday, he shared photos from an indoor practice session with Naeem Amin, the assistant coach of Gujarat Titans in the IPL.

In the pictures, Kohli looked happy and fit, wearing a grey t-shirt and blue shorts while practising his batting. He thanked Amin on Instagram, writing, “Thanks for helping out with the hit, brother. Always lovely to see you.” Amin replied, “Good to see you brother! See you soon.”
Kohli is expected to make his comeback in the ODI series against Australia from October 19 to 25. Initially, he was supposed to return in August for the Bangladesh series, but that series was postponed.
The star batter last played competitive cricket in June, during the IPL 2025 final, where he scored 43 runs to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru win their first IPL title against Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.
With 14,181 ODI runs and 51 centuries, Kohli is considered one of the greatest players in the format. In the last ODI World Cup, he scored 765 runs, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record.
