In a bizarre and shocking moment that has gone viral online, a woman drove her car on a railway track in Telangana, forcing major train services to reroute. This happened near Shankarpally in Ranga Reddy district, where railway and police staff scrambled to stop the moving vehicle.

A 13-second video posted online shows a Kia Sonet dangerously running on the railway track. The footage quickly spread across social media, leaving users stunned and confused.
In a second video, locals and railway staff are seen chasing the car, trying to get the driver out. In another dramatic clip, the woman—whose hands were tied by the crowd—is heard yelling in Hindi, “Mere haath kholo!” (Open my hands!). The crowd looked anxious, fearing an accident.

Police Say Woman Appeared Mentally Disturbed
Police later identified the driver as a 34-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh. According to Chandana Deepti, the SP of Railway Police, she had recently left her job at a multinational company.
“She was aggressive and not cooperating. We suspect she may have been mentally disturbed,” the officer said.
Her driving licence and PAN card were recovered from the car. Officers are now checking if this was a suicide attempt staged to look like murder, though it’s still early in the investigation.
Train Services Disrupted Across Telangana
At least 15 passenger trains, including a major Bengaluru-Hyderabad route, were either diverted or delayed. The railways acted quickly to prevent a possible disaster.
A railway official stated, “It took more than 20 people to stop the car and bring her out. Her actions put hundreds of lives at risk.”
