
Websol Energy made a strong comeback in the last quarter (Q4) of the financial year 2025. The company reported a profit of ₹48.3 crore, compared to a loss in the same period last year.
In Q4 FY25, Websol’s revenue (money earned from sales) jumped to ₹173 crore, much higher than ₹24.9 crore in Q4 FY24. The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were ₹79.5 crore, while last year it had a small loss of ₹0.71 crore. The profit before tax was ₹65.9 crore, compared to a loss of ₹36.2 crore in the same quarter last year.

Compared to the previous quarter (Q3 FY25), the company’s net profit rose by 16.1%, and its revenue increased by 17.4%. EBITDA also grew by 17.1%, and profit before tax went up by 37%. The profit margin based on EBITDA was 46%, just slightly lower than 46.1% in the previous quarter.
For the whole financial year 2025, Websol Energy reported a net profit of ₹154.7 crore, after facing a loss of ₹121 crore the year before. The company’s total revenue for FY25 was ₹575.5 crore, a big increase from ₹25.9 crore in FY24. EBITDA was ₹254.6 crore, up from a loss of ₹111.9 crore last year, and pre-tax profit was ₹194.5 crore compared to a loss of ₹152.7 crore.

Websol also had good cash flow from its business activities, with ₹167.26 crore coming in by the end of March 2025, much higher than ₹34.94 crore the previous year. Its net debt compared to equity was 0.22 times, and net debt compared to EBITDA was 0.24 times, showing a healthy financial position.

Websol Energy is focused on advancing solar energy technology. It has a factory in Falta SEZ, West Bengal, that makes solar cells and solar modules. The factory currently has a capacity of 600 MW for Mono PERC solar cells and 550 MW for solar modules. The company is also adding a new 600 MW production line for Mono PERC bifacial solar cells, expected to start working in the first quarter of FY26.
